As it is with beginnings (such as the new year) we all try to implement some type of change in order to improve ourselves or our circumstances. Some change is foisted upon us by extenuating circumstances. The key is to handle the changes as best we can. Keeping the right attitude will go a long way to help us.

My theme this year (for myself) is to focus more fully upon my motto: Live with intention; dwell in possibility.

Although some of the changes that have accompanied the new year are not something I wanted, I am using them as a way to re-think what is important and make decisions that will help me and my family live better, healthier lives.

The tarot card for the week is The Hanged One. This card represents the inner journey, willing sacrifice, and discovery and exploration of the spiritual self.

The angel guide for the week is Haniel, who helps to affirm love and joy in our lives.

The Goddess guide this week is Yemanya, whose message is to take advantage of the ample opportunities that are available at this time.

Blessed Yule! 12/21/2009

Have a happy and blessed Yule!

The goddess of the week is Athena, the goddess of inner wisdom.
The angel guide is Rachmiel. Rachmiel means 'mercy' and brings compassion, light, and comfort.
The Celtic message is from the Dolmen (a table stone). This is said to symbolize the entrance to Annwn, or the Otherworld. It represents mystery and discovery.

These cards  indicate that this is a good time to explore personal  hidden depths.

Purification 12/16/2009

This week's goddess is Coventina, Celtic goddess of water. She encourages purification of body and mind.

The angel Dokiel helps you to achieve the correct balance in life.

The Celtic message recommends making a quick escape from whatever situation is threatening you. Now is not the time to stand and fight.

Self Expression 11/04/2009

This week's goddess is Sarasvati; she is the goddess of creative expression.

The Celtic message is the loom. This symbolizes actively working and weaving the 'fabric' of our lives in order to make it what we want.

With Samhain just past, death and cycles are on my mind. We had another death last week in our extended family, bringing it even more to the forefront. We need to keep in mind that expressing ourselves to the people in our lives is of the utmost importance. We never know when our/their cycle will be complete.

Quiet time 10/21/2009

This week's Goddess is Sige and she is the Gnostic Goddess of silence, or the void, from which creation sprang. She is considered the mother of Sophia (the Goddess of wisdom).

The Celtic message is from the salmon. It's ok to go against the flow when you understand what's best for you. Individuality, wisdom, and following your instincts are key.

The angel for the week is Seraphiel, to help connect the crown chakra to peace and spirituality.

This week's tarot card is the 6 of Pentacles. This represents generosity and fulfillment through sharing. By achieving an inner confidence and self-belief, we release new streams of energy which create a rewarding reality for ourselves.

On another note, I ordered a couple tarot decks that I've been wanting. I haven't gotten them yet, but I am looking forward to trying them out.

Prosperity 10/05/2009

This week's theme is prosperity and nobility.

The Goddess card of the week is Abundantia. She is the Roman goddess of abundance. Abundance comes in many forms, from money to ideas. The key is to be open to receiving abundance and blessings.

The Celtic message is from Horse. The horse is a symbol of nobility and fidelity.

I didn't choose an angel card for this week. The one I chose last was Hermes Trismegistus - the angel of spiritual alchemy of ancient wisdom.

I just finished reading "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown. What another wonderfully enlightening book!! I feel blessed to have read it. I took notes and plan to delve into more research and strive ever more for enlightenment and apotheosis. (That is my new word for the day.)

Checking in... 10/01/2009

I haven't been checking in very often, due to several reasons. Right now my heart is heavy, but I know the Lord and Lady are with me and so are my angels.

I like the idea of having a free website host that includes all the features that weebly offers, especially a built in blog! Makes things all nice and tidy. LOL

This blog is where I will post anything that deals with my spiritual journey. My search for the meaning of life and spirituality includes the ups and downs of life as I know it. Once a week I pull random cards from various decks as a sort of guideline regarding the upcoming week. I will share those insights with you. I hope you enjoy the Ethereal Blog.

This week's Goddess guide is Guinevere, the Celtic triple goddess of true love, fertility, and bridge to the afterlife.

The tarot card for the week is the 2 of Pentacles. This represents necessary change or a turning point, and the willingness to take the chances that come our way.

The angel guide for the week is Gabriel, angel of hope and new inspiration.

The message for the week indicates that matters of finance and status are important at this time. It can mean either an unwelcome expense or an unexpected windfall. Either way, handle the situation wisely, and don't be afraid to seek advice from those you trust.

The power animal for the month of September is Dog, which represents friendship and loyalty.
